Arrests made in homicide outside Oregon supermarket By STEVEN DUBOIS Associated Press PORTLAND — Police arrested an Oregon man accused of fatally shooting a friend in retaliation for a gun deal in which he was robbed. Rees Dikeos, 20, of Lake Oswego was arrested in Las Vegas this week, accord- ing to the Newberg-Dundee THURSDAY 12:11 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a robbery at East Dogwood Avenue and Northeast McNary Street. 9:02 a.m. - Pendleton police took a report for a theft at Olney Cemetery, 865 Tutuilla Creek Road, Pendleton. 10:30 a.m. - Staff at The Links Senior Apartments, 310 Klickitat St., Umatilla, asked to speak to an officer about illegal dumping. 10:36 a.m. - A caller asked Umatilla police to do something about a site on Cliff Street where the property owner “only ever cuts her lawn once per year.” 11:19 a.m. - Callers reported a burglary at Jones Scott Co. Sand & Gravel off Highway 207, Hermiston. 1:03 p.m. - A woman told Hermiston police her employer fired her and won’t give her the last pay check. 1:50 p.m. - Pilot Rock police dealt with Police Department. He was later booked into the Yam- hill County Jail on a murder charge. A second suspect, Mark Gonzalez, 27, of Beaverton has been charged with con- spiracy to commit murder. Court Ave. 2:32 p.m. - A Pendleton caller on Northwest Ellis Avenue reported the theft of a bicycle, two scooters and a Big Wheel from the front yard within the last week. 3:41 p.m. - Stanfield police received a report that two people acted suspicious in the Stanfield Public Library, 180 W. Coe Ave., Stanfield, at around 6:30 Wednesday evening. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Sunday •Pendleton police arrested Clay Sorenson, 38, of Pendleton, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Thursday •Milton-Freewater police arrested Paul Duane Caverly, 47, of Walla Walla, for resiting arrest, interfering with a peace officer, giving false information, two counts of trespassing and on warrants. •Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason Leon Bowles, 43, no address available, for DUII. Friday •Pendleton police arrested Damon Kipp, 20, Pendleton, for DUII. •Pendleton police at about 4:30 a.m. responded to a man causing a disturbance at St. Anthony Hospital. Officers arrived and arrested Michael Shane Marion, 42, of Hermiston, for third-degree assault, menacing, harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal mischief (vandalism). •Pendleton police cited Dustin Winterton, 25, of Pendleton, for DUII.
