RECORDS East Oregonian Page 6A PUBLIC SAFETY LOG DEATH NOTICES MONDAY Virginia Rose ‘Ginger’’ McElroy 4:21 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a vehicle theft from Southwest Desert Oak Drive. 8:36 a.m. - A caller at Cassens Mobile Home Park at the intersection of Highway 207 and Northeast Fourth Street reported someone put sugar in her vehicle’s gas tank. 9:10 a.m. - Cruising east along Interstate 84 near milepost 218, the window down, his arm out, a 57-year-old semi driver from Walla Walla was fine until a bug flew up his shirt sleeve. He jerked and twitched in response, according to Oregon State Police, and the semi and trailer damaged the guardrail. The trailer wheel also sustained a large crack, putting the vehicle and driver out of service until the Arrowhead Travel Plaza near Pendleton could make the repair. 9:56 a.m. - An employee at Medelez Inc., 30522 Oldfield St., Hermiston, reported the theft of his vehicle. 10:08 a.m. - A 911 caller reported three 20-something men broke into a lime-green house on Agnew Road, Hermiston. 12:59 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on West Madrona Avenue told police she had friends live with her, and after they moved they left five bicycles at her home. She said she was not sure if they were stolen. 2:39 p.m. - Pendleton’s code enforcement officer worked along Southwest Court Avenue for about 20 minutes to deal with violations. 4:08 p.m. - A man reported he left his disabled vehicle on Friday on the eastbound side of Interstate 84 close to milepost 177 near Boardman, but the vehicle was gone when he returned Monday. He also said he spoke with Oregon State Police, which reported troopers did not tag the vehicle for towing. He reported it stolen. 6:48 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a man en route from Umatilla who said a third party told him his brother in Irrigon was shot. The caller also said he tried calling the house, but someone picks up the phone and hangs up, and the neighbors told him strange people were at the house. The sheriff’s office responded and took no action after determining no one suffered any injury of any sort. 8:15 p.m. - A Hermiston man at the Irrigon Elementary School, Irrigon, reported he let someone borrow his vehicle, which had his gun inside, and the borrower called to say the gun was missing. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took the case because the gun was stolen from the caller’s house in Hermiston. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •A Boardman woman on Willow Ford Drive at 8:42 a.m. reported her ex-boyfriend broke into her house. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Boardman police responded, and city officers arrested Jose Manuel Garay, 21, no address provided, for first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, and hauled him to the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton •Pendleton police arrested Cody Ray Dubois, 29, of 336 S.W. Third St., Pendleton, for possession of methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence, along with three misdemeanor and three felony warrants, all for failure to appear.
