Juniper Cosner to receive FFA degree A 2016 graduate of Weston-McEwen High School is being honored with the American FFA Degree. Juniper Cosner will receive the award in October at the National FFA Convention and Expo in Indiana. One of the highest honors bestowed on FFA members, it’s awarded annually to less than 1 percent of its members. Cosner is just the fourth member of the Weston- McEwen FFA to receive the award. The previous recip- ients are Joshua Legg in 1999, Kristen Kyles, 1998; and Ginger M. Price, 1993. “We at Weston-McEwen High School are so proud of Juniper’s accomplishments and we cannot wait to see her on the National FFA stage this fall,” said Ashley Florence, FFA advisor. To earn the American FFA Degree, the honoree must meet numerous qualifications over a significant period of time. Those receiving the degree demonstrate the highest level of commitment to FFA, which is evidenced by significant accomplish- ments in their supervised agricultural experiences. In addition to leadership qualities, the FFA member must have previously obtained the State FFA Degree. For more information about FFA, visit www.ffa. org.
