PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY 3:51 a.m. - A woman trying to repossess a truck on Northwest Riverside Avenue, Heppner, called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office when she suspected there may be guns in the vehicle and wanted to know her options. 7:24 a.m. - A hundred gallons of fuel was reported stolen from Home Depot, 300 W. Harper Road, Hermiston. 8:55 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on East Second Street, Ione, after a woman reported a man was causing a disturbance, threat- ening to throw bricks through her window and trying to take her child. 10:38 a.m. - A woman possibly having a mental health issue was reported throwing rocks and talking to herself on Northeast Eighth Street, Irrigon. 12:34 p.m. - Goodwill Industries, 325 W. Theater Lane, Hermiston, reported theft to the Hermiston Police Department. 3:11 p.m. - Cows running loose in traffic on Northwest Academy Lane and Northwest 11th Street, Hermiston, prompted a call to Hermiston police. 3:12 p.m. - Theft was reported at Washington Elementary School, 1205 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton. Another assault was reported at 8:32 p.m., this time on Northwest June Avenue. 6:22 p.m. - A resident of West Tamarack Avenue, Hermiston, reported a theft. 6:40 p.m. - An adult son yelling and threatening his parents on Olson Road, Boardman, prompted a call to Morrow County sheriff’s deputies. 7:26 p.m. - Two large white dogs with black spots were running loose and acting aggressively toward people on Northwest Despain Avenue and Northwest 14th Street, Pendleton. 8:19 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a man laying on the railroad tracks at Southwest Frazer Avenue and Southwest Seventh Street, but officers were unable to locate the man. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •Pendleton police arrested Penny Leigh Surran, 56, address not provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit and run with property damage and reckless driving. •Hermiston police arrested Joshua Phillip Miltenberger, 24, address not provided, for possession of heroin, a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant and four misdemeanor probation violations.
