RECORDS Friday, March 17, 2017 East Oregonian PUBLIC SAFETY LOG OBITUARIES DEATH NOTICES WEDNESDAY •Umatilla residents on Chenoweth Avenue and Pomono Drive soon after midnight reported someone knocking on their windows. 4:21 a.m. - A man told Pendleton police he received texts about him sleeping with a female that he is not. The caller also asked for an officer to come over because the text sender was supposed to show up to get a motorcycle and there could be a problem. 8:08 a.m. - A Hermiston man reported someone stole empty gas cans and then the stereo from his vehicle on Northwest 12th Street. 8:30 a.m. - A Pilot Rock resident told police the neighbor threatened to poison his dogs. 8:32 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to West Oak Avenue on a report of a man throwing a woman by her hair down the stairs. 9:50 a.m. - Residents on Diamond Ring Lane, Irrigon, told law enforcement they chased off a female that broke into their garage. 11:57 a.m. - An Irrigon resident reported the theft of about $581 from an online donation account that was for her daughter’s memorial. 12:16 p.m. - A caller at Sage Villa Apartments on North Highway 395, Hermiston, reported the theft of four tires and rims. 12:59 p.m. - An anonymous caller said the driver of a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup at the intersection of Highway 730 and Highway 395, Umatilla, was shooting up drugs. 1:54 p.m. - A caller told Milton-Freewater police someone stole his Stihl chainsaw from his vehicle on the 10 block of North Columbia Street. 5:25 p.m. - The occupant in a 1990 green Dodge pickup dumped garbage at Bensel and North Ott roads, Hermiston. 9:42 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report from Southeast 11th Street of people with flashlights yelling. Bond Boardman May 6, 1961-March 13, 2017 Irrigon Sept. 3, 1954-March 13, 2017 ARRESTS, CITATIONS Wednesday •Oregon State Police reported a teen from Richland, Washington, ended up in jail after trying to flee in a stolen car. Trooper Darin Wong at about 2:35 a.m. on Interstate 84 westbound near milepost 208 stopped a white Kia Sedona that was stolen from Washington, according to state police. Marda Carolina Gosnell, 18, was behind the wheel, and she had a 15-year-old passenger. Wong tried to remove Gosnell, state police reported, and she hit the gas. She eventually drove into a field and ran. Officers caught her and booked her into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, for unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempt to elude police, reckless driving, third-degree theft and interfering with a peace officer. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Michael J. Duenas, 28, of 821 Vining St., Milton-Freewater, for harassment (domestic violence), menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and posses- sion of methamphetamine. •Oregon State Police around 7:30 p.m. arrested a semi driver at the Umatilla Port of Entry for driving drunk. Philippe Andrew Inskeep, 41, of Spring Hill, Florida, weighed his Freightliner semitrailer at the port, which found the rig was overweight. The weighmaster also reported Inskeep seemed impaired and told police. Trooper Mark Amos contacted Inskeep, according to state police, and saw “multiple signs of impairment from alcohol.” He then failed a sobriety test and had a blood-alcohol level of .13 percent, above the .08 percent legal limit. The trooper took Inskeep to the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, and the port entry secured his semi. Thursday •Hermiston police arrested Kaelynn Hollingsworth, 34, of 28716 Highway 730, No. 115, Umatilla, for possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana, and on a warrant for failure to appear. Jolene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, and at the Oregon Coast. November 14, 1926-January 16, 2017 William “Elmo” Kelly, 90, passed away on Jan. 16, 2017, peacefully in his sleep with his wife Isabell at his side. He succumbed to the affects of Alzheimer’s after an eight-year struggle. Born in Black- water, Virginia, he was a Navy veteran serving during World War II. Elmo enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to garden, and always raised a garden much Kelly larger than needed and gave a good portion of it away. He was an extremely hard worker and quick to offer help to anyone that needed it, and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Isabell R. Kelly, Spokane Valley, Wash., and sons Clinton E. Kelly, Milton-Free- water, Ore., Adali J. Kelly, Powell Butte, Ore., and William A. Kelly, Malaga, Wash. He had 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchil- dren, and one great- great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Sidney L. Kelly, Kalama, Wash.
