She said he showed up around 4 a.m. at her house on West Linda Avenue and refused to leave for about an hour. 12:07 p.m. - A Pilot Rock man complained about the feral cats around his property on South Alder Street. 12:14 p.m. - A woman asked police to check on her friend living in Echo. She said they spoke on the phone Tuesday and her friend said another man was in the house and broke the TV and more. 12:43 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to Ridgeway Village Apartments, 725 W. Ridgeway Ave., on a report of a woman breaking a man’s belongings, including the windshield on his vehicle. 3:48 p.m. - Credit card fraud hit a Pendleton woman. She told law enforcement someone used her credit card in Florence and charged more than $1,000 for two items delivered to a woman at a Florence address. She said her card company reversed the charges but she wanted to report the crime. 5:16 p.m. - Two Doberman Pinschers were “squealing” outside their home on Southeast 10th Street, Pendleton. A neighbor reported the dogs made noise before, but this time it was bad. The caller asked police to check on the dogs. 6:07 p.m. - A Pendleton man told police his adult son and his friends come over and were disrespectful. 7:02 p.m. - An Athena resident reported a dark gray newer Ford Mustang without a front plate was in front of her home at North Hunt and West Washington streets. She said she asked the driver, a male about 21, if she could help him, and he told her he was waiting for a friend. She asked why he didn’t park in front of the friend’s house, and he answered the friend “was just weird like that” about him coming over. The situation, she said, seemed suspicious. 8:21 p.m. - Pendleton police received an emergency call about a two-tone brown vehicle with the “windshield completely frozen over” going the wrong way on Southwest Court Avenue near 10th Street. 10:41 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of drunk people threatening to harm a man and damage his vehicle at an apartment on West Hermiston Avenue near 11th Street. State police reported a black Nissan Altima was northbound on Highway 11 about four miles south of Pendleton at about 4:40 p.m., when the driver lost control while passing another vehicle. The Nissan left the road, drove across a ditch and into a field. The driver came back to the highway, where the car slid down an embankment. Trooper Ryan Sharp contacted the driver, who, according to state police, “was urinating on the side of the road.” Francisco Javier Palacios Garcia, 23, of 513 N.E. Eighth Ave., Apt. B-1, Milton-Freewater, also showed other signs of intoxications. Palacios Garcia consented to sobriety tests, and afterward Sharp arrested him for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving and booked him into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Beverly Jean Evans, 70, of 648 College St., Milton-Freewater, for DUI, reckless driving, and hit and run (failure to perform duties of a driver).
