Papineau and they lived the
last 15 years of their lives
in Meacham on the “Chip-
munk Ranch.”
He enjoyed hunting,

viewing.

5:01 p.m. - Pendleton police took a theft
report from a man at Riverside Mobile Estates,
2712 N.E. Riverside Ave., who reported a
woman he knows got her belongings and she
stole his full pack of cigarettes and lighter. The
items were worth $7.
8:42 p.m. - Hermiston police received a call
to respond to Denny’s, 2265 S. Highway 395,
Hermiston, to check on a customer who made
staff there uncomfortable. She came in around
5 p.m. and refused to move to a smaller table,
would not pay or leave and barely touched her
food.
4:17 a.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest
Bailey Avenue caught someone breaking into his
wife’s vehicle. She called police while he talked
to the suspect.
8:39 a.m. - A Pendleton-area man told law
enforcement he thinks his neighbor’s relatives
are taking advantage of her.
9:13 a.m. - Violating restraining orders has
become easier and sometimes more insidious
in our digital world. A woman in Hermiston
told police the man she has a protection order
against sent her a friend request on Facebook,
which she declined. But the man also hacked
her Facebook account, she said, and edited her
life events to reflect she married him.
10:22 a.m. - Pendleton police received a

Mosa, 138 S. Main St., Pendleton, after staff
there reported a patron was the victim of assault
and wanted to press charges.
1:30 p.m. - A Pendleton woman reported her
fiancé was “out of control.” He yelled, “popped
a bunch of balloons and threw a cake in the
garbage.”
5:44 p.m. - Staff at the Circle K, 309 S.E. Nye
Ave., Pendleton, reported a woman in a green
sedan hit the fuel attendant with her car and
sped off. The attendant declined medical help
but said the driver did it on purpose.

8:25 a.m. - An employee at Sun Ridge
Retirement Community, 3234 S.W. Nye Ave.,
Pendleton, called police after a man in his 20s
entered, asked strange questions about Japan
and urinated on the floor.
