The man said his phone was discon- nected and he was afraid to open the door. 10:09 a.m. - Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies investigated two calls about dangerous dogs in Weston. A man at a residence on Highway 204 reported his neighbor’s dogs killed one of his dogs, and this is the third time in the past year and a half the neighbor’s dogs have killed one of his. And at 12:25 p.m. a woman on South Broad Street reported the neighbor’s pit bull dogs were in her yard the previous day and tried to attack her dog, and also chased her daughter down the street. 12:27 p.m. - An employee of Burger King, 601 Southgate, Pendleton, called Pendleton police to remove an intoxi- Tuesday, October 18, 2016 Tuesday Morning FOX SATURDAY 5:01 a.m. - An employee of the Hermiston Burger King, 1730 N. First St., reported she arrived to start her shift and found the business had been broken into, the safe was open and all the money was missing. 6:50 a.m. - A isherman at the mouth of the Umatilla River complained to Umatilla police that someone was shooting at ducks over the heads of ishermen in boats in the area, and BBs were raining down on people’s heads. 7:13 a.m. - A man sleeping in his pickup behind Community Bank, 157 S. Main St., Pendleton, was rudely awakened when a man opened the door and stole a pair of binoculars off the dashboard. The caller gave a description of the suspect, who took off north at a sprint toward the River Walk when the man yelled at him. 8:20 a.m. - An employee of Fer’s Brunch & Lunch, 14 N. Elizabeth St., Milton- Freewater, reported the restaurant was entered and damaged, and money was stolen sometime during the night. 11:45 a.m. - A gun, reported stolen from the Let’s Go Inn, 515 N. Main St., Milton- Freewater, was later returned. 5:24 p.m. - Umatilla police received a report of shots ired from a rile in the vicinity of Jane Avenue and Sixth Street. 5:52 p.m. - An Athena resident reported communi- cation lines handing down at East Darwin and South Third streets, and said he was concerned they would be hit by a passerby. He requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy. 7:19 p.m. - Trucks in a farmer’s ield next to the Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road, Hermiston, were “spinning out” and “doing cookies,” and a caller was concerned the activity may cause trouble with the event being held at the center. The man called again at 7:56 p.m. to report two of the trucks were still driving recklessly, and requested contact from a Hermiston police oficer. Another caller at 10:07 p.m. called Hermiston police to complain about noise from the event at the center. 8:20 p.m. - A resident of Country Club Manor Apartments, 605 Umatilla Ave., Umatilla, reported the theft of a bottle of anxiety medication sometime within the past four days. 10:07 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report from a caller at the 11th Street Market, 425 N.W. 11th St., that an 11-year-old boy was driving a car for his intoxicated father. 10:12 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to the vicinity of The Saddle Restaurant, 2220 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, when a caller said a bloody man in the middle of the road may have been hit by a car. 11:49 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a gunshot in the vicinity of Victory Square, Southwest 10th Street and West Hermiston Avenue. CBS a co-worker pulled a pistol on him at a residence on Northwest Third Street and Furnish Avenue, Pendleton. 7:14 p.m. - A caller at Johnson Road and Highway 204, Weston, reported a possible sighting of an escaped inmate from Walla Walla. He said he saw the suspect get into a silver 4-door Chevrolet Silverado pickup, which left toward Pendleton. Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies were advised. 10:08 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice was called when a man found a sedan stopped on the railroad tracks at Coombs Canyon and Sparks Station roads, Pendleton, with a person slumped over the wheel. The sheriff’s police log indicated an arrest was made, but no further information was available at press time. 10:14 p.m. - A Heppner man reported to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice he heard possible gunshots in the vicinity of South Main Street and Highway 207. Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate a shooter. 10:42 p.m. - A resident of Miller Road, Boardman, called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice to report loud music and possible gunshots coming from somewhere near her home, possibly from a neighbor’s house or a vehicle. 10:59 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of possible gunshots from the vicinity of railroad tracks at Southeast 17th Street. NBC FRIDAY 5:34 a.m. - A pump, motor, hoses and several ittings designed for chemicals, along with 200 gallons of diesel fuel, were reported stolen from a tractor in the vicinity of South Edwards and Feedville roads, Stanield. 8:03 a.m. - A woman called Pendleton police to report seeing an abandoned baby stroller between Sorbenots and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 800 S.E. Court Ave., but she was not sure if there was a baby inside the stroller. 8:07 a.m. - Another tram- poline was reported missing, this one from a backyard on Southwest Third Street, Pilot Rock. 8:39 a.m. - Medication was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Northeast 11th Avenue, Milton-Freewater. 8:57 a.m. - Three teachers at Desert View Elementary School, 1225 S.W. Ninth St., Hermiston, reported the theft of credit cards. 9:51 a.m. - A shop on Winesap Road, Milton- Freewater, was broken into and several items were stolen, the shop’s owner reported to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice. And at 9:58 a.m. another sheriff’s deputy investigated a break-in at a vacant home on East Pomeroy Street, Weston. 10:45 a.m. - An employee of Rite Aid, 1900 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton, called Pendleton police to report a woman was trying to buy four $500 gift cards because she was told her grandson was in jail. The employee had tried to convince the woman this was a scam, but the woman seemed confused. He requested an oficer talk to the woman. 12:36 p.m. - A resident of Southwest Riverview Drive called Pendleton police to report identity fraud using her Social Security number. 1:47 p.m. - A woman witnessed the theft of her husband’s three-door hand- held tool box from the back of his pickup on West Nelson Lane, Hermiston. The caller said she yelled at the suspects and they left in a light blue 1993 Toyota Tercel two-door. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy took a report. 1:54 p.m. - A Hermiston woman reported her name was used to rent an apartment in Arizona, and a collections agency is trying to collect $2,000 from her. She stated she has been a Hermiston resident for 10 years and has never rented an apartment in Arizona. She requested oficer contact. 2:34 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of dangerous trees on Northwest 14th Street. The caller was concerned the broken branches would fall and injure someone.
