PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY 7 a.m. - A 9-1-1 caller reported a female outside Pandora’s Box II, 28 S.E. Emigrant Ave., Pendleton, screamed a male is a pedo- phile, and the male threw rocks at the female. The caller said the two headed north on Main Street. 11:14 a.m. - An employee of Home Town Cleaners, 1810 S.W. Emigrant Ave., Pendleton, reported four males, all possibly high, tried to sell him a cash register they said was stolen from the business. They left in a silver sedan. 12:10 p.m. - A mother reported her daughter assaulted her and left in a blue car from Hat Rock Campground, 82280 Hat Rock Road, Hermiston. She said her daughter was high on methamphetamine. 12:39 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of an elderly woman wearing only a t-shirt and crying while on an electric scooter at West Highland Avenue and Southwest Seventh Street. 2:24 p.m. - A caller told Umatilla police people are piling bicycles without tires on a ire hydrant on B Street and throwing garbage out the windows, which is making a mess. 2:27 p.m. - A wife on Cherry Street, Umatilla, told police she and her husband argued and he punched the front room window and cut his hand. 3:46 p.m. - Hermiston police received a call to send an oficer to the emergency department of Good Shepherd Health Care System, 610 N.W. 1th St., for a possible victim of elder abuse. 4:54 p.m. - A caller on North Blaine Street, Adams, asked for a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy to check on a dog that could be ill and suffering neglect. 5:20 p.m. - Someone stole $1,800 in change from the master restroom at Highland Park on Northeast Madrona Drive, Hermiston. 5:46 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice received an emergency call about a 13-year-old Pendleton girl who bit herself and twice bit her mother. 7:23 p.m. - A Pendleton caller was at home on Southwest Byers Avenue, Pendleton, when a male tried to kick in a back door. 8:05 p.m. - Two people wearing hooded sweatshirts tried to break into Pendleton Quicky Lube, 904 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton. 10:22 p.m. - People yelled and screamed at a duplex on Northeast Eighth Street, Hermiston. 10:42 p.m. - A resident on Southwest Nye Avenue had intoxicated guests scream outside, which prompted a neighbor to call 9-1-1 to have police tell them to calm down after her own effort to achieve that goal failed.
