RECORDS Wednesday, September 7, 2016 PUBLIC SAFETY LOG FRIDAY 5:28 p.m. - A Umatilla man reported two males and a female in a white older Honda Civic pulled up to his house on Chinook Court and assaulted him and his girlfriend, then left. The man identiied one of the males. 10:07 p.m. - A Stanield resident on Moorehouse Road reported the neighbor’s cows — about 100 head — were on his property, and he was hosting a wedding Saturday. SATURDAY 11:41 a.m. - A property owner on Eighth Street, Umatilla, reported the house is empty but someone used more than $300 worth of water there. 10:22 p.m. - A man on Windy Lane, Hermiston, reported his ex-sister-in-law was yelling and hitting people. SUNDAY 1:15 a.m. - Four males assaulted a ifth on E Street, Umatilla, then left. MONDAY 10:47 a.m. - An Irrigon man told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice he has two kittens at his home and needs someone to take them as soon as possible. A deputy took the kittens to Pet Rescue-Humane Society of Easter Oregon, 1844 N.W. Geer Road, Hermiston. 12:02 p.m. - A Pendleton woman told police she received alerts on her smartphone that someone was trying to hack into her bank account. 1:54 p.m. - One resident at a recreational vehicle park on Sixth Street, Umatilla, reported the landlord makes fun of him and told him to move. 5:40 p.m. - Four juveniles vandalized a restroom at Stillman Park, 413 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton. 6:57 p.m. - Burglars stole a pressure washer, a generator and more during the previous night from a shop on Geer Road, Hermiston. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Sunday •Oregon State Police arrested Jose Ivan Lombera Lopez, 22, of 253 E. Jennie Ave., Apt. A, Hermiston, for driving under the inluence of intoxicants. The suspect was eastbound on Interstate 84 in a silver Nissan at about 12:20 a.m. and reached 102 mph, tailgated, and lashed lights at other vehicles before exiting at the 202 offramp and driving onto Barnhart Road, Pendleton, where the trooper made the trafic stop. State police also reported Lombera Lopez failed a sobriety test and had a blood-alcohol level of .2 percent, more than twice the .08 percent legal limit. The trooper took Lombera Lopez into custody and also gave him a citation for speeding. Monday •Umatilla tribal police arrested Amos Walter Pond, 56, of Pendleton, for felony duii and misdemeanor hit and run. •Pendleton police arrested Beverly Ilene Green, 60, of Walla Walla, for duii (alcohol). •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice arrested Tyler Wayne Jones, 30, no address provided, for felon in possession weapon, second-degree trespassing, possession of metham- phetamine and for violating parole. •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice arrested Guy William Stephens, 52, of 80607 W. Lightle Shane Jay Zabransky Hermiston October 18, 1950-September 2, 2016 Stanield December 3, 1971-September 4, 2016 Terry W. Lightle was born on October 18, 1950, in Ottawa, Kansas, to Curley and Priscilla Deanne Gilliland Lightle. He passed away peacefully with family around him on September 2, 2016, in Herm- iston, Oregon, at the age of 65. They moved to Hermiston, Oregon, in 1953 where he has lived since. Terry graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 1968. He always told his sister he graduated with a wonderful Lightle group of people that he loved dearly. He always looked forward to his high school reunions. When he talked about the past he always shared how much he enjoyed “dragging the gut” in his 1954 Chevrolet convert- ible, his pride and joy. Terry served in the United States Navy from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1970. He returned to Hermiston and started his own painting business. Terry took great pride in his work and was soon known as one of the best painters around. He was a perfectionist and this quality brought him a great deal of work by way of referrals from happy clients. Terry loved hunting, his dogs, and ishing. He looked forward to the annual Morgan Lake ishing trip every year. Terry, we will miss you and your quick wit; you will live on in our heart. Rest in peace. He is survived by his mother, Deanne Lightle; son Daniel; sister Kristy and her husband Tom; nephews Travis Christian and his wife Heather, and Ryan Christian; niece Lori Lightle; and very close extended family Don and Mary Ann Christian. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Curley, and brother, Rick. A celebration of life graveside service with mili- tary honors will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herm- iston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
