East Oregonian Page 7A PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY 4:50 a.m. - Law enforcement responded to an Irrigon woman on East Highway 730 who reported someone was trying to break into her house. There was no indication police found any suspect. 8:34 a.m. - A brown and white pit bull dog entered a yard on West Lincoln Street, Athena, and tried to attack a cat. The cat’s owner reported where she believed the dog lives. 8:46 a.m. - A woman on Lorraine Avenue, Hermiston, told the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice she is the “water lady” and believes another person nearby is stealing water. She asked for a deputy to accompany her to the address. 9:16 a.m. - Pilot Rock police received a report of a man in his 40s or 50s dragging a heavy suitcase at the end of a driveway. 9:19 a.m. - A Pendleton woman on Southwest Second Street reported someone ripped up her plants. She also identiied a woman as a possible suspect who may have retaliated because the caller reported her boyfriend to police. 10:07 a.m. - An employ with Lifeways Inc., 331 S.E. Second St., Pendleton, asked for extra police patrols because a transient has been sleeping beside their building at night. 10:27 a.m. - Someone stole around $200 from the drop box at the Ukiah-Dale Campground and a portable Honda generator from one of the camp spaces. 11:39 a.m. - A caller at Tri-Harbor Apartments, 210 Klickitat St., Umatilla, told police someone broke the windshield and the back window of her car. 12:30 p.m. - A Stanield man reported a woman scammed him on the internet. She sent fraudulent checks to his checking account, then withdrew funds and he is now out about $10,000. He also said the bank froze his account. 2 p.m. - A Pendleton man told police a white male went through all the mailboxes at B & M Mobile Home Court, 2903 N.E. Riverside Ave. 2:04 p.m. - An Adams man on Bingham Road reported a burglary involving the theft of several irearms from his neighbor’s residence. 2:57 p.m. - Umatilla police received a report of a snake in front of the entrance to Pik a Pop, 101 Sixth St. 2:22 p.m. - A Hermiston man on North Ott Road complained about three dump truck drivers from the Hermiston Irrigation District going 30-35 mph, and one driver was on his cellphone. He also said he talked to the irrigation district last week about this and feels like it has not addressed this concerns. 3:26 p.m. - A Pendleton woman reported her brother threatened to “destroy” her if she continued to talk to their mother at her home. 3:59 p.m. - A bird struck an elec- trical line on Bombing Range Road, Boardman, a few miles beyond Finley Buttes, and started a ire. 4:04 p.m. - Sheep escaped a pasture on West Eighth Road, Irrigon, 4:06 p.m. - Boardman police detective Jeremy Fye came to the Oregon State Police ofice at 860 W. Elm Ave, Hermiston, and dropped off about 3 pounds of small arms ammunition for destruction. The ammo came from a local resident. 4:33 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice spent about 45 minutes investigating code violations at multiple sites in Irrigon. 8:13 p.m. - A Weston man on Louden Lane reported he fought with two construction workers from Medford who “were kind of intoxicated” and claimed his dog attacked one of them. He said he heard his dog whimpering, went outside and saw one man on top of the dog, beating it. He said he punched the guy, and the other tried to ight but was too drunk. The caller asked for a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy to call him. 9:09 p.m. - A woman on Southwest Second Street, Pendleton, told police her neighbor sent a female to her residence to threaten her. 9:19 p.m. - An elderly Milton- Freewater woman on North Elizabeth Street reported she was asleep and woke up to ind three strangers on her couch. She said they left when she asked them what they were doing. 9:29 p.m. - Pendleton police received a request to check on a 35-year-old man who has a medical condition but has not been taking care of himself since the death of a relative. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •Pendleton police arrested Tate Brandon Patterson, 33, of 315 N.W. 10th St., Pendleton, for prohibited ireworks and for interfering with a peace oficer, both misdemeanors, and on three misdemeanor warrants. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Scott Allen McIntosh, 47, of 122 S.E. Eighth St., Milton-Freewater, for unautho- rized use of vehicle, unauthorized entry into a vehicle and on a misdemeanor warrant. •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Ofice arrested Mitchell Wayne Thomas, 27, of Hermiston, for violating parole, failing to pay ines and felon in possession of a weapon.
