Lange Hermiston November 23, 1947-July 19, 2016 Pendleton August 1, 1957-July 19, 2016 Joyce Caroll Fuchs of Hermiston, Oregon, was born on November 23, 1947, in Ada, Oklahoma, to parents Paul and Dorothy Nell Allen Turner. She died on July 19, 2016, in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 68 years. Joyce was raised and attended schools in Ada, Oklahoma. She was living in California when she met a young man in the United States Navy, George Fuchs. They were united in Fuchs marriage on August 27, 1976, in Reno, Nevada. They lived in Vallejo, Calif., for a short time before moving to San Diego, Calif., where they lived until 1994 when they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1998 they moved to Hermiston, Oregon, where they have lived since. Joyce worked for a time as a teacher’s assistant at West Park Elementary School and later at Rocky Heights Elementary School. Joyce enjoyed ceramics, sewing, gardening, and visiting with her friends. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, George Fuchs, Hermiston, Ore.; brothers Paul, Jerry Don, (twin brother) Royce Haroll and Douglas Turner, all of Ada, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanne Gomez. Recitation of the rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Mortuary chapel, Hermiston, Oregon. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston, Oregon. Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon. Daniel R. Lange, a Pend- leton resident, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston, Oregon. He was 58 years old. Arrange- ments are with Burns Mortuary of Lange Pendleton. Daniel was born August 1, 1957, in Missoula, Montana, to Lloyd George and Wanda (Seng) Lange. He was raised and educated in Montana, attending the University of Montana. On February 16, 1980, he married Karen O’Conner in Missoula, Mont. He then attended the University of Northern Colorado where he attained a Masters of Saxophone Performance. Daniel came to Oregon to teach music at Blue Mountain Commu- nity College, where he later became an integral part of the administration. He was an active member of Pend- leton Free Methodist Church. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle and tinkering with his home theatre. Daniel is survived by wife of 36 years, Karen Lange; his sons Adam and Jason Lange; his brothers Doug, Darrin and Don Lange; eight nieces and nephews; and his parents George and Wanda Lange. Safe T Transport hires new ofice manager PENDLETON — Calista Winnett recently joined Safe T Transport LLC as its ofice manager. Winnett, formerly with the Umatilla County Veterans Service Ofice, brings a wealth of ofice skills and local contacts to the Pendleton business, said owner Scott Jacobson. In addition, Jacobson said Winnett has strong customer service knowledge that will assist in continuing to put customers irst. Safe T Transport began operation about 16 months ago and is located at 1608 Southgate Place, Pendleton. The passenger transportation business takes individuals to and from medical and dental appointments throughout Umatilla and Morrow counties.
