chase previously listed on
county’s most wanted
A 39-year-old woman was arrested
Thursday after leading oficers on a
motorcycle chase on Interstate 84 in
Morrow and Gilliam counties that
reached speeds in excess of 120 mph.

The pursuit began in Morrow
County, where a deputy clocked Scholl
driving 92 mph on I-84 westbound at
milepost 154. The oficer attempted to
pull her over, but she sped away.
Gilliam County Sheriff Gary Betten-
court said Scholl pulled into Arlington
to get gas when she encountered another
deputy, and sped back onto the highway
heading east. Bettencourt said they
clocked Scholl at speeds up to 120 mph.
Scholl ran out of gas at milepost 146,
hopped the guardrail and attempted
to run toward the Columbia River.
Bettencourt said Scholl fell down a
steep embankment and was quickly
arrested. Nobody was seriously injured
in the chase.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s Ofice

a Mitsubishi Eclipse, reaching speeds
in excess of 80 mph as he sped through
Pendleton. The chase lasted about seven
minutes before Garza stopped and was
