Interment will follow at the Athena Cemetery. Phillip Stone, son of the late Chadwick Stone and Margaret Coalwell Stone, was born on January 13, 1960, in Hermiston, Oregon. He attended the Hermiston public schools. He was a graduate of Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colo., and also graduated from Chemeketa Community College with an Associate of Arts degree. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his Stone life, Bonnie, on November 6, 1981. This union was blessed with two daughters. Mr. Stone ended his life doing what he wanted to do the most, serving the Lord while teaching reading and writing at Oceanlake Elemen- tary in Lincoln City, Oregon, and as a recreation leader for the city of Lincoln City where he was known as “Dr. Phill.” He loved teaching children with the gifts and talents he was blessed with. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many. His GDLO\ OLYLQJ ZDV D UHÀHFWLRQ of his Christian life, and his LQÀXHQFHZLOOIRUHYHUUHPDLQ in the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Chad Stone, mother-in-law Carole Johnson, father-in-law Wayne Johnson, sister-in-law Becky Fordice, and grandson Landis Gray. Phill’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his daughters, Dayna (Stone) Eckhardt of Maryland Heights, Mo., and Holly Stone of Waldport, Ore.; son-in-law Jared Eckhardt of 0DU\ODQG+HLJKWV0R¿YH grandchildren: Aleya Gray, Max Gray, Natalie Eckhardt, Vera Eckhardt and Loretta Eckhardt; three sisters and his mother Margaret Stone; and a host of many more loved family members and friends.
