Three-sport Pendleton standout Kai Quinn
has been awarded the Don Requa Scholarship
by the Pendleton Linebackers Club.
The nine-time letterman and All-State
honorable mention Buckaroo quarterback will
receive $10,000 total. Quinn will continue a
family tradition of sorts when he suits up for
Eastern Oregon University football in the fall.
His great grandfather played football, basket-
ball and baseball at EOU and his father, Jeff,
was a basketball player there.
Receiving the Linebacker Club’s Alex
Stuvland Memorial Scholarship of $4,000 is
another future Mountaineer in senior Jacob
Banks.
Banks was also All-State honorable mention
in football and excelled on the offense and
defensive line for Pendleton. He has also signed
with EOU football for the upcoming season.
The Pendleton Linebacker’s Club will hold
its fundraiser Hall of Fame Weekend on July
8-10 where it will honor Quinn and Banks
along with 2016’s Hall of Fame inductees.
