He asked her what she was doing there, he said, and she told him, “I can get in here anytime I want.” The owner said he would pursue charges for anyone police found in the business. 4:01 a.m. - A 20- or maybe 30-something white male at South Main Street and Southeast Emigrant Avenue, Pendleton, acted strange, according to a caller, reached for “things in the air” when nothing was there and stumbled around. 12:10 p.m. - An employee of JCPenney Co., 124 S. Main St., Pendleton, reported someone broke the locks on the store’s back door. 12:47 p.m. - A 9-1-1 caller reported a male was hitting a female with a walking stick at the Crossroads Truck Stop, 2020 Highway 730, Umatilla. The female wore a shawl, the assailant was in a hooded sweatshirt, and the caller also left the scene. H. and Betty Jean (Henderson) Lambert. He was raised in Eagle, Idaho, and Meridian, Idaho, where he graduated high school with the class of 1969. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1971. He worked in data processing and was stationed aboard the USS Nimitz. He was a golden gloves boxer at that time. He traveled the world visiting many countries during his 20-yearlong career with the U.S. Navy and retired from service in 1991. Following his retirement from the Navy, Jerry held many different jobs at various businesses in the area. He had a very strong work ethic and even enjoyed hard work. His hobbies included camping, wood working, supporting family activities, traveling, listening to audio books and watching movies. He enjoyed working with technology and was very computer savvy. Jerry was a hard worker and a very caring person to all. He was very involved in attending sports events of all kinds. He loved to take family trips camping, sledding, picnicking, and to corn mazes or haunted houses; anything to be involved. He had several health issues, which made LW GLI¿FXOW IRU KLP to be involved in the last few years. He will be missed by many. He maintained a lasting relationship with his ex-wife, Janet Lambert, they depended on each other for much friendship and love. Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry Lee Lambert Jr. & wife Nicole of Bend, OR; his sisters, Mary Peterson of Idaho; Jean Reed & husband Floyd of Alaska; Penny Whitehall of Pilot Rock, OR; Rocky Stout of Pilot Rock; Patty Lambert of Pilot Rock; and Kathy Lambert & husband Allen Orr of Pendleton, OR; and a brother, John Lambert & wife Billy of Pilot Rock; as well as 31 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Carolyn Sue Helms, and brothers-in-law Saul Helms, Mike Stout, Jim Whitehall and Galyn Peterson. The formal/semi-formal event is coordinated by Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington Service Unit 22. It provides an opportunity to build special memories for fathers and daughters. The price of admission remains at $15 per person, the same as it was the YHU\¿UVW\HDU Monetary donations will be used to cover such expenses as site rental, refreshments, photography and decorations. Each couple receives a corsage, bouton- nière and portrait. Admission also includes refreshments and the use of a photo booth to create additional photo mementos. Businesses and individuals who donate $50 or more by March 14 will be mentioned in all promotional materials. Contributions of less than $50 are also welcome, with donors included on the sponsor board at the event. Four levels of sponsorship are available with some that include complementary admission to the dance. In-kind donations are also being accepted.
