Eilertson Ione Aug. 23, 1923-Jan. 30, 2016 Pendleton Nov. 21, 1959-Jan. 30, 2016 2:04 a.m.-A Morrow County dispatcher returned a 9-1-1 call, and the man who answered identi¿ed himself as “Smokey” said he was born in 1964, his phone was in his pocket and he called 9-1-1 by accident. 10:45 a.m.-A Hermiston-area resident asked to speak to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy regarding harassment on social media. 12:40 p.m.-A caller asked Stan¿eld police to pick up the Catholic statue a man last week left on the left side of Winebarger Welding & Irrigation, 620 W. Coe Ave., Stan¿eld. 12:49 p.m.-A skateboarder fell in front of Bank of the West, 416 S.W. 20TH St., Pendleton, got up and took off again, slicing in and out of traf¿c. Police did not ¿nd the would-be stunt person. 12:53 p.m.-Sometimes pain takes a while to creep up. A Pendleton man reported he fell at 4:32 a.m. and did not hurt at the time, but hours later he could not walk and suspected he may have broken a hip. An ambulance took him to the hospital. 1 p.m.-A woman reported she walked from a vacant parking lot to the left of Bonney’s Ag & Auto Repair, Highway 395 N., Umatilla, when a man came out of a trailer, yelled at her to get off the property and ¿red two shots at her from a pellet gun. She said he wore a dark shirt and otherwise did not get close enough to see. She also said she did not think she trespassed. 7:40 p.m.-An Irrigon caller on Southeast Fourth reported a male in a white four door pickup has been “racing up and down the road” the last three or four nights. 11:30 p.m.-A woman told Pendleton police a woman she knows cut up her clothes and smothered them in animal excrement, and a second woman made threats and sent harassing messages and texts. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Pendleton police arrested Seth N. Hiatt, 27, of 912 S.E. Second St., No. 4, Pendleton, for domestic violence fourth-degree assault. Pendleton police arrested Rachel L. ADAMS PLANNING COM- MISSION, 6:30 p.m., Adams Robert Y. “Bob” Perry, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at his eldest son’s home in Pendleton, Oregon. A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at 11 a.m. at High View Ceme- tery in Ione, Oregon. Bob was born August 23, 1923, on the “Old Benedict Place” near Ione, Oregon, the son of Rosseter and Mign- inette Young Perry. He attended Ione and Morgan grade schools and high Perry school at Arlington, Oregon. He heeded the call to defend his country after Pearl Harbor and enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 1942. He was allowed to earn his high school diploma and then started his military service in June 1942. Bob served in England and Scot- land as a Motor Machinist’s Mate, First Call and partici- pated in the D-Day operation. He received an honorable discharge in July 1945. Upon returning home, Bob attended Oregon State College for a year and then ZHQW WR ZRUN IRU 3DFL¿F Northwest Bell in Portland, Oregon as a lineman and then phone and business systems installer retiring after 36 years in 1983. After retirement, he came back to the farm on Willow Creek where he had many wonderful memories growing up. He loved his City Hall, 190 N. On Aug. 5, 1945, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Crowder, in Arlington, Oregon. They moved and lived most of their married life in Portland, Oregon. To this union three children were born: Robert R. Perry, Timothy R. Perry and Dorothy Adelle Perry. After 56 years of marriage Phyliss passed away in 2002. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Ross; mother, Mignon- ette; sisters, Ross Bell Gillette, Mignonette Barkhurst and Orianna Ione Adelle Perry. Bob is survived by his three children, Robert R. Perry and his wife, Myrna; Timothy R. Perry and his wife, Leslie; and Adelle Guidotti and her husband, Timothy; his six grandchildren; Skye Guidotti, Breanna Guidotti, Shasta Perry, Healy Perry, Jennifer 3HUU\DQG5RE3HUU\DQG¿YH great-grandchildren.
