RECORDS Friday, January 22, 2016 PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY 10:55 a.m. - A Pendleton man reported an attorney withheld his mail from him for six months, and when he received it, it had all been opened. Pendleton police determined it was a civil dispute. 2:14 p.m. - Pendleton police cited a driver that lost the vehicle he was towing near Safeway, 203 S.W. 20th St., Pendleton, FUHDWLQJDWUDI¿FKD]DUG 2:44 p.m. - A man driving over the Umatilla River Road/ Interstate 82 overpass in Umatilla spotted a group of men near a homeless camp jumping out into the road and acting strangely. The caller said one man appeared to be bleeding, but he did not believe they needed medical attention. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy was unable to locate the men. 2:46 p.m. - A resident of Kiwi Court, Umatilla, reported to the Umatilla police that one of his vehicles had the license plate stolen and a plate to an unknown vehicle was in his yard. 4:31 p.m. - A woman with a bloody nose was reported throwing rocks through a window and yelling into a residence on Lorraine Avenue, Hermiston. 5:11 p.m. - The rear passenger side window of a pickup truck was reported broken out while parked at Ross and Old Oregon Trail roads near Meacham, the truck’s owner reported. 10:52 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a man “rolling around in the median” near Highway 30 and Mission Road, Pendleton. 11:50 p.m. - An employee of First Stop Mart, Highway 11, Milton-Freewater, requested a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy respond to the store to roust a man who was sleeping outside in his vehicle because they wanted to close the store.
