PORTLAND — LaMarcus Aldridge scored
23 points in his return to Portland, leading the
San Antonio Spurs to a 113-101 victory over
the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
Aldridge, who played nine seasons in
Portland before leaving as a free agent this
summer, added six rebounds. Kawhi Leonard
¿ nished with 20 points for the Spurs, who won
their third straight.
Damian Lillard led the
Blazers with 22 points,
including ¿ ve 3-pointers, and
San Antonio nine assists. Portland has lost
three straight.
The

Aldridge’s ¿ rst appearance
in Portland since he signed
a four-year deal worth $80

Aldridge set franchise
records for rebounds and
double-doubles, while ¿ nishing second to

a minute, and the Eastern Oregon
University women’s soccer team
shut out Northwest for the second
time this year, 3-0, to advance to

T-Wolves cap East sweep

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — The
Blue Mountain volleyball team
capped an undefeated run through
the NWAC East on Wednesday
with a three-set win over Big Bend
in its regular season ¿ nale.
With scores of 25-23, 25-19,
and 25-23 the Timberwolves
(37-9, 14-0 East) secured their
fourth-straight sweep and 11th
overall in East Region play.
The T-Wolves ¿ nished 42-3 in sets
against East opponents this season.
