Cardinal coach David Shaw initially FACES downplayed the idea but now says the timing is right. McCaffrey leads the nation with 2,174 all-purpose McCaffrey yards, putting him on pace to break the collegiate record of 3,250 yards by Barry Sanders in 11 games in 1988.
