RECORDS Tuesday, October 13, 2015 East Oregonian Page 5A PUBLIC SAFETY LOG DEATH NOTICES UPCOMING SERVICES FRIDAY •Management at Comfort Inn & Suites, 77514 South Highway 207, Hermiston, told law enforcement at 4:18 a.m. several “gypsies” came on the property to rent a room, but the business refused service because it had trespassed the group before. •A Weston resident at 7:51 a.m. reported someone put Silly String all over her vehicles on North Broad Street. •A coach at Blue Mountain Community College, Pendleton, told police at 8:54 a.m. someone broke into a storage shed at the college and stole a pressure washer, orbital sander and more. •A caller at 12:01 p.m. reported possible gang members living at residence on Cactus Drive, Hermiston. •An employee of Rite Aid, Hermiston, at 12:04 p.m. reported an elderly customer was the victim of a scam. The caller said the man bought six gift cards worth $500 each after receiving phone calls from a man claiming to be an of¿cer from Spring¿eld. The employee also reported the customer was available to talk to law enforcement. •A resident of Pendleton Square Apartments, 300 S.W. 28th Drive, Pendleton, told police at 12:14 p.m. a female kept running by his window yelling profanities at him. •A 70-year-old Milton-Freewater man crashed his vehicle through a power pole support cable at about 3:20 p.m. at Cobb and Locust roads, Milton-Freewater, sheared a metal pole sign for a local orchard and destroyed a telephone control box. Oregon State Police reported the driver said he blacked out for several seconds, then came to after stopping in the front yard of a residence. A witness said it appeared the driver suffered a seizure. An ambulance took the man to a Walla Walla hospital. •A caller at 5:52 p.m. reported a woman threw a choc- olate milkshake on a door on the 600 block of Southwest 30th Street, Pendleton. •A owner of a rental on Cowboy Lane, Hermiston, told law enforcement at 6:48 a.m. the renters there do no have permission to burn and have a burn pile going and also threatened arson. He also said there is a pending eviction order. He asked to have the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Of¿ce tell the renters to extinguish the ¿re. •Pendleton police at 6:51 p.m. received a report of bullets ricocheting off the water at the south end of Bedford Bridge on Southwest 18th Street. Police did not ¿nd any shooters. •A Milton-Freewater man at 9:12 p.m. reported his dog was in a kennel when he left town, and the dog died. He also said he found the neighbor’s dog was in the same kennel, and the neighbors were looking for their dog. Birch St., Pilot Rock, and several then began ¿ghting. •A woman at 12:37 a.m. told police her friend was intoxicated and would not let her out of her residence on Northeast Riverside Avenue, Pendleton. There also was mention of someone being intoxicated and a vehicle that crashed into a tree at the house. •A woman at 1:51 a.m. told emergency dispatch she heard someone open her car door on Southwest Emigrant Avenue, Pendleton, confronted the man she found there, and he took off running. •A Umatilla resident at 5:41 a.m. reported the theft of four fully bloomed marijuana plants from her place on Wenatchee Street. •A Pendleton man on Southwest Isaac Avenue told police at 6:06 a.m. prowlers keep returning to his resi- dence, and he keeps chasing them off. He asked for an of¿cer to contact him later in the day. •A woman at 12:12 a.m. reported she bought property on South Washington Street, Weston, and a neighbor threated to burn it down. •Umatilla police at 10:50 a.m. received a call from a female at the Lamplighter Motel, 401 Sixth St., Umatilla, with a male moaning in the background, The female then hung up. •The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Of¿ce at 4:14 p.m. received a report of illegal camping along the Umatilla River near the bridge on Southeast Eighth Street, Pendleton. •A male at 4:21 p.m. reported he was at Southwest Byers Avenue and Main Street when another male took a knife from his pocket and walked toward him, then left west on the Pendleton River Parkway. •An employee of Super 8 Motel, 601 S.E. Nye Ave., Pendleton, told police at 11:30 p.m. a man wanted a room, and they argued over that, then the man tried to hit him and left in a white Buick toward town. SUNDAY •Pendleton police at 2:10 a.m. responded to a distur- bance at Crabby’s Underground Saloon, 22. S.W. First St., Pendleton. •A male at 2:16 a.m. told Stan¿eld police his girlfriend punched him in the face and would not let him back in the house. •A Pendleton man at 9:33 a.m. reported the theft of $1,400 from a residence on Northeast Riverside Avenue. •Umatilla police at 9:51 a.m. received a report of a theft of a four-wheeler from Cowlitz Avenue. •Loud music and people yelling at about 10 p.m. at the end of North Sloan Street, Stan¿eld, prompted a man to report the noise. He said this happens every night. •And a Hermiston-area caller at 10:03 p.m. complained about loud music from a home at Echols and Minnehaha roads. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Friday •Oregon State Police arrested Anthony Dale Schachtsick, 25, of Pilot Rock, for driving under the inÀuence of intoxicants. Saturday •The manager of Howard Johnson, 105 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, told police at 5:13 a.m. there was a disturbance in one of the hotel’s rooms. She said a female yelled at a male to stop and begged “please don’t.” The caller also said the male was upset about the hotel having to redo his room key. Pendleton police responded and arrested Ashley Ropp, 21, on a warrant out of Benton County, Washington. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Cicso Antonia Gonzalez, 20, of Milton-Freewater, on a warrant for failure to appear and on charges of fourth-degree assault, interfering with making a report, harassment and restlessly endangering another. The criminal mischief happened sometime Friday night or early Saturday, and that morning callers reported the damage. Pendleton police Chief Stuart Roberts reported the crimes look connected and so far there are no suspects. Targets included two guest vehicles at the Travelodge, 411 S.W.
