Story of Herm- iston, Oregon, formerly of Dallas, Oregon, was born on January 27, 1920, in Airlie, Oregon, to parents- Robert Grant Story and Gladys Mabel Liggett Story. He died on September 28, 2015, in Herm- iston, Oregon, at the age of 95 years. Robert married Aldeen Mae Cooper on March 28, 1942, in Dallas, Oregon. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was stationed in Hawaii. Robert worked in the Story logging industry and later for Polk County in the highway department for many years. They moved from Dallas, Oregon, to Hermiston, Oregon, in 1989. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hermiston, Oregon. Robert loved working in his shop carving and creating vintage and modern airplane models. He enjoyed playing the banjo, writing poetry, airplane movies, the outdoors, Dale L. Arts center offers crafts workshop PENDLETON — Pendleton Center for the Arts has just the answer for students with nothing to do during non-school days. This Friday, students ages 8 and up are invited to drop in for a Make-and-Take Workshop. From 10 a.m. to noon, students will be making autumn greeting cards. The cost is $10 and includes materials. Michael D. ‘Mike’ Sowell Athena Dale L. Webb of Athena passed away on September 29, 2015, in Pendleton at the age of 83 years. At his request, no public services will be held. Dale Webb was born on November 23, 1931, to Jack and Willie (Wilson) Webb in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dale graduated from Catoosa High School in Catoosa, Okla- homa. He moved to Oregon in the 1950s. Dale lived in numerous places over the years before settling in Athena, Oregon. He married Charlene Thomson in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on October 15, 1972. Dale had various jobs including, logging, farming, driving truck, saw mill operator, school bus driver, well drilling hand and did mobile home transport and set-up.
