Lemons, a longtime resident of the Pend- leton and Pilot Rock areas, passed away September 27, 2015, at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton, Oregon. She was born July 23, 1932, in Hall, Montana, to Joseph Dennis and Berniece Huff. When Elleanor was a teenager she moved with her father to Pendleton, where she gradu- ated in 1950 from Pendleton High School. She was a homemaker who was a jack of all trades. She loved to cook and her children say that Lemons she made the best brownies and rolls ever. She babysat children in the neighborhood, and often helped neighbors by ironing for them. Elleanor was a member of The Church of Christ, St. Anthony’s Bargain Counter, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and a member of the bowling league for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Lemons. Her survivors include her children Ninette (Steve) Jackson, Paula (Vern) Sandy, Pete Lemons (Helen), and Larry Lemons (Janette); grandchildren Lori Barnett, Alissa McCall, Lamarta Sandy, Kalanea Sandy, Jamie Lacey, Lindsey Lemons, Jennifer Teribury, Kelly McNeeley and Jordan Pies; 20 great-grand- children, and two great-great-grand- children. Graveside services will be held at Pilot Rock Cemetery on October 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. A gathering of friends and family will follow the service. Natalie Cresta Robinson Slayton Nyssa March 18, 1972-September 28, 2015 Natalie Cresta Robinson Slayton, 44, of Nyssa and former resident of Heppner and John Day, Oregon, went to Heaven on Monday, September 28, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 3 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Heppner, with inurnment to follow at Heppner Masonic Cemetery. She was born in La Grande, Oregon, on March 18, 1972, to Dean and Florene Kygar Robinson. She grew up and attended school in Heppner, Oregon. Natalie studied Slayton anthropology and business at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon, and Eastern Oregon Univer- sity in La Grande, Oregon. She was the loving mother of Corey Slayton, Josh Slayton and grandmother to Aiden Slayton and Sydney Slayton. Natalie enjoyed spending time reading, baking, gardening, and sewing. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her children, grandchildren and her many animals. Survivors include her parents Dean and Florene Robinson of Heppner; sons Josh Slayton and Corey Slayton, both of John Day; sister Jacklyn Robinson of Pasco, Washington; and grandsons Aiden Slayton of McMinnville, Oregon, and Sydney Slayton of John Day.
