SUNDAY •A van belonging to a mariachi band was reported broken into at 1:16 a.m. in the 500 block of North Main Street, Milton- Freewater. Band member jackets, instrument cases and the van’s radio were stolen. •A vehicle was reported stolen from A-1 Storage, 1516 S.W. Frazer Ave., Pendleton, at 9:37 a.m. The vehicle’s owner said he had the vehicle, which was unlocked and can be started with any key, for sale in the lot and last saw it at 4 p.m. Saturday. She said the bike had Honda decals, but was not a Honda, and it was last seen the previous Wednesday. •A man trying to rent a house in Milton-Freewater called Pendleton police at 7:56 p.m. to report attempted identity theft. He said he gave his Social Security number to the owner of the house and 30 minutes later LifeLock called him to report someone was trying to secure an auto loan using his SSN.
