Farmer Heppner August 18, 1928-June 3, 2015 Estacada Sept. 8, 1954-Dec. 27, 2014 •A Pendleton resident at 9:15 a.m. reported a break-in of her vehicle on Southwest Dorion Avenue, and another resident at 9:24 a.m. reported someone broke into his vehicle on Northwest Skyline Drive and stole a poker set from the trunk. •A resident on Northeast Riverside Avenue, Pendleton, at 11:12 a.m. reported a neighbor’s dog will not stop barking and its owner is not home. •A Umatilla-area resident at 11:17 a.m. reported that two days ago someone crawled in through his window and made a copy of his key while he was napping, and then Monday morning someone entered his house and took a ratchet with a socket on it. 7KH8PDWLOOD&RXQW\6KHULII¶V2I¿FHDWSPUHFHLYHG DUHSRUWRIWZRPDOHV¿JKWLQJLQWKHURDGRQ)HUQGDOH6WUHHW 0LOWRQ)UHHZDWHU $FLW\RI8PDWLOODZRPDQDWSPUHSRUWHGVRPHRQH tried to take the stereo from her car on Third Street, and she found a knife that was not hers in the car. She said she wanted to give that to police. •A man who said he was disabled reported a driver blocked a handicapped parking spot in Umatilla and threatened him with a gun. The caller reported the incident at 2:11 p.m. and said he asked a driver to move from blocking the handicapped parking at the Crossroads Truck Stop, 2020 Highway 730, Umatilla. The man said he and his wife both are disabled. But the man in the spot refused to go, said he was dropping his wife off at work and became agitated. He also had a handgun in his lap and waved that at the caller and stated, “Do you really want to do this?” There were children inside the man’s smaller dark-colored sports utility vehicle with tinted rear window, and he drove off. The caller said he did not get the license plate and described the man as white and heavy-set. He also said he would wait inside the diner for police. •Then at 2:54 p.m. an Irrigon woman asked the Morrow &RXQW\6KHULII¶V2I¿FHIRUKHOSWDNLQJFXVWRG\RIKHUVRQIURP his father, whose behavior is growing erratic. She said he came to her workplace in Umatilla, where he had a confrontation with a man in the wheelchair parking space and even pulled a gun on the man. She also said she served him with custody papers Monday morning. •An Irrigon resident on Northeast Seventh Street at 3:43 p.m. reported someone broke into her car, which she does not use much, so she was not sure when it occurred. But she said she thinks whoever did it left an item in the car.
