RECORDS Friday, April 3, 2015 PUBLIC SAFETY LOG East Oregonian DEATH NOTICES WEDNESDAY •A tow truck operator with Discount Towing, Highway 730, Irrigon, called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Of¿ce at 9:55 a.m. to report a vehicle he towed smelled suspicious. A sheriff’s deputy is investigating. •Umatilla police at 10:27 a.m. received a call from a resident of E Street, Umatilla, who said a friend stayed with her the previous night and she is now missing $40 from her wallet. She said the suspected thief was on his way to catch a bus for Pendleton, and reTuested an of¿cer contact her. •A tablet computer and wallet were reported stolen at 11 a.m. from a home on Sloan Avenue, Umatilla. The Umatilla police took a theft report. •The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Of¿ce at 12:11 p.m. received a report of a possible burglary in progress of a shop at a residence on Highway 11 and Ferndale Road, Milton-Freewater. The caller described the suspects and said they left the scene in a maroon sedan headed toward Stateline Road. •A resident of Sunset Housing, 143 S. Fourth St., Athe- na, reported the theft of two boulders from an alleyway be- hind the complex at 12:22 p.m. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy took a theft report. •A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy at 2:46 p.m. contact- ed “females using Silly String on mailboxes” on South First Street in Irrigon. •A Heppner resident of Northwest Water Street called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Of¿ce at 3:28 p.m. to com- plain that a neighbor with whom she shares a property line had put up a fence on her side of the line. A sheriff’s deputy contacted both parties, and neither of the property owners admitted to putting up the fence. •A resident of Canal Lane, Boardman, was trapped in- side his home because Black Angus cows and a large bull were in his yard, probably looking for water, and he did not want to risk tangling with the bull.
