Crampton Hermiston December 20, 1919-March 18, 2015 Hermiston Oct. 26, 1933-March 21, 2015 •A Milton-Freewater man at 10 a.m. reported the theft of a laptop from the 1800 block of Oak Street. •A Hermiston-area woman on Prindle Loop Road at 1:24 p.m. reported she was the victim of mail theft and $500 fraud. •Thieves stole copper from facilities at 2575 N.W. Westgate Drive, Pendleton. An Oregon State Police trooper at 1:46 p.m. re- sponded to the scene, where an Oregon Department of Human Services coordinator reported break-ins at three houses on the campus and the theft of copper wire from each. •Pendleton police at about 5:20 p.m. responded to a call about a young woman trying to commit suicide. •A Milton-Freewater woman at 6:20 p.m. reported someone entered her residence on the 1600 block of South Main Street. And a caller at 10:41 a.m. asked to VSHDNWRDQRI¿FHUEHFDXVHVRPHRQHHJJHGKHUGDXJKWHU¶VFDU on Southwest 44th Street, Pendleton. •A caller at 10:59 a.m. reported an aggressive male pit bull dog running at people on Southeast 12th Street, Pendleton. The caller also said the dog fought with another dog earlier that morning. •A caller at about 11 a.m. reported a local farmer on Highway 339, Milton-Freewater, kept setting off a propane cannon every PLQXWHVRUVRDQGWKDWXSVHWWKHFDOOHU¶VGRJ •A man at 1:35 p.m. reported he received a call 30 minutes before from a neighbor, who stated there was smoke by his trailer at Shadeview Mobile Home Park and RV Park, 1437 S.W. 37th St., Pendleton. The neighbor then went over to check it out DQGIRXQG³DNLGVWDQGLQJWKHUHDQGDWUDVKFDQZDVRQ¿UH´ •Thieves broke into a building near grain silos at Walla Walla River and North Fork Walla Walla River roads, Milton-Freewater, a caller reported at 7:14 p.m., and stole welding equipment, a weed cutter, a trimmer and more. •A man at 7:28 p.m. reported two dogs charged him on Lark /DQH+HUPLVWRQDQGKH¿UHGDZDUQLQJVKRWDWWKHPLQWRWKH ground. SUNDAY •Two teens boys at about 3 p.m. threw rocks at a vehicle that was in the drive-through lane at Circle K, 335 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton. The caller said one was on a skateboard and the other a scooter, and he followed them to about the 1800 block of Westgate Drive before losing them. •A Pendleton woman at 3:31 p.m. reported dogs on Northeast Anvidon Street killed her chickens. She died on March 18, 2015, in Hermiston, Oregon, at the age of 95 years. Marge was raised and attend- ed schools in Wy- oming. She then lived in South Dakota and New Mexico before set- tling in Oregon in the 1960s, where she has lived since. Marge owned and operated Realty Powell Headquarters in Umatilla, Oregon, for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, Hermiston, Oregon. Marge enjoyed button collecting, traveling, crossword and word search puzzles.
