Without the en- gineers’ help, the tug, built for Hawaiian Tug & Barge Co., Honolulu, could not have been launched until later in the spring, when the river level normally is up. 25 Years Ago From the East Oregonian March 11, 1990 With an exterior skin reminiscent of a cor- rugated barn roof, a 1931 airplane of a kind once used by Charles Lindbergh took a rest at Pendleton Airport this week. The 59-year- old plane is one of only 10 Ford tri-motor 5ATB 15-passenger aircraft still in operation.
