McKayla Deist added 15 points and the guard led the Rockets’ de- fensive efforts with six steals. PENDLETON — Another big night from one of the NWAC’s leading scorers wasn’t enough to extend the Blue Mountain wom- en’s basketball team’s season-long winning streak on Saturday. The Wenatchee Valley Knights ended the Timberwolves’ NWAC East Region run at three games while snapping a three-game skid of their own with a 80-74 win at Mosby Court. Mar’Shay Moore poured in a game-high 30 points for BMCC (10-6, 3-2 East) but the Knights KDG ¿YH SOD\HUV UHDFK double digits to make up the differ- ence. Jillian Jacobs led them with 14 points and the Knights shot 50 SHUFHQW RI IURP WKH ¿HOG Wenatchee, which moved within a game of BMCC for third place in the East Region, also played a remarkably clean game and was whistled for just seven fouls. That helped the Knights take a huge advantage at the free throw line, where they went 17 for 21 while BMCC was limited to just 1 of 5. While the T-Wolves had seven players pick up at least two fouls, the Knights only has three players earn fouls at all. Moore’s second-highest scoring game of the season (her highest was 35 on Dec. 20 vs. South Puget Sound) came with 10 rebounds and three steals.
