store told police she was there
to get clothes for her ¿ve chil-
dren, according to court doc-
uments.
Jessica M. Reddick, 31,
pleaded not guilty to the new
case Thursday in Benton
County Superior Court.
Her trial is scheduled
March 9 on charges of sec-

The alleged serial shoplifter
was arrested and charged with
the last name of Flores-Red-
dick. But during a hearing
earlier this week on the other
cases, she told a judge she no
longer uses Flores.
On Monday night, a loss

after she left without paying

Hermiston will avoid a
potential lawsuit if the city
council approves a settlement
agreement with Sallee Prop-
erties, LLC on Monday night.
Rhonda Sallee had pre-
viously threatened to sue the
city for damages if it went
forward with vacating part of
West Ridgeway Avenue near
Highway 395. The city was
considering turning owner-
ship of the south 15 feet of the
road over to a hotel developer
interested in building on the
property south of the road.
Sallee Properties argued
that reducing the 60-foot road
to 45 feet would restrict access
to their land and make it hard
for the trucks they service at
Auto Kool to get in and out.
If the city council approves
a settlement agreement, how-
ever, Sallee Properties will
agree not to sue. In return, it
will get the northernmost ¿ve
feet of the road, to address
the fact that some surveys
show the Auto Kool build-
ing extends onto the right of
way for Ridgeway, as well
as a 15-foot-wide section of
Ridgeway that extends from
the back of the Auto Kool
building to the railroad right
of way.
On Monday the council
also plans to review citizen
feedback on revisions to the
city charter and vote on a mo-
tion to direct staff to put the
charter on the May ballot. The
council will have to decide if
it wants to put the charter in
a single ballot measure or put
two potentially controversial
pieces — making the munic-
ipal judge an appointed posi-
tion and changing the mayor’s
term from two years to four
— as amendments to be voted
on separately.
Before the regular city
council meeting at 7 p.m., the
council will hold a work ses-
sion at 6 p.m. about parks and
trail planning.

Reddick also has two oth-
er second-degree theft cases
that allege she stole $1,387 in
clothes from Sears and nearly
$900 worth of items from the
Richland Target store.
She was identi¿ed as the
suspect in both incidents af-
ter police released store sur-
veillance photos of her to the
public.
Reddick is behind bars with
bail set at more than $40,000.
