Bennett •Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded to a three-vehicle wreck at 10 a.m. on Highway 730 in Irrigon. One of the vehicles was T-boned, but everyone involved said they were OK. •A caller at 10:03 a.m. told Pendleton police a male tried to use a $1,500 check from a closed account to buy a used car. •A woman in Irrigon reported the neighbor’s dogs attacked her Pomeranian under the deck at her home on Southeast Kristen Drive. She called at 10:47 a.m. and requested to sign citations against the owner. •Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife advised the Morrow to put down a deer near the edge of town, in case anyone heard a gunshot. •A man at 8:50 p.m. reported the theft of medical marijuana from a residence at Shadeview Mobile Home & RV Park, 1437 S.W. 37th St., Pendleton. •A man reported at 11:06 p.m. that his 2002 Dodge Caravan and another vehicle in the same parking lot on Northeast Eighth Street, Irrigon, had been broken into and CDs were stolen. outside a residence at 11:44 p.m., and when the people at the house had been no controlled burn called in, so the deputy was going to make contact. SATURDAY people jumped him when he left his residence at Hailey Place Apartments, the 600 block of Southwest 30th Street, Pendleton. He said the assault happened at about midnight, and they kicked his dog and struck him on the back of his head. He said he fought back and marched to the Sinclair fuel station on Southgate, where a white sedan arrived and left with a person he fought. The victim then went to his parent’s house in Adams, where he called police. •Pendleton emergency services at 3:16 a.m. received a report of 84 near Pendleton. •A Milton-Freewater man at 12:21 p.m. reported the theft of his bike from the 500 block of North Main Street. •Pendleton police at 1:23 p.m. received a report someone stole a white 1994 Toyota pickup from Tim’s Toys, 1005 Southgate Drive, Pendleton. •A woman at 6:30 p.m. told Pendleton police she found hidden cameras in her residence at Wilson’s Mobile Home Rentals, 2918 N.E. Riverside Ave., Pendleton. •An older white male a little before 10 p.m. tried to pass a fake $100 bill at Cadillac Jack’s Saloon & Grill, 1703 S.W. Emigrant Ave., Pendleton. SUNDAY •A Pendleton woman at about 6:15 p.m. spotted her neighbor in her pickup. She told police the incident happened near Northwest Eighth Street and Furnish Avenue, and when another neighbor yelled, the male in her pickup “took off running.” •A caller at 9:12 p.m. reported seven youthes fought on the 10th Street Bridge, Pendleton. ARRESTS Saturday •Milton-Freewater police arrested Haley R. Maiden, 31, of 4290 Touchet N. Road, Walla Walla, for fraud. •Milton-Freewater police arrested Jeremy Daniel Garcia, 37, of of intoxicants. •Pendleton police arrested Michael Patrick Taylor, 38, of 2930 N. 38th St., Boise, Idaho, for domestic violence/fourth-degree assault. Helix April 30, 1959-Jan. 18, 2015 Hermiston Nov. 3, 1923-Jan. 15, 2015 Otto Carl Reise Jr. (Pin- ky), former Hermiston, Or- egon resident of 42 years, passed away on January 15, 2015, in Pendleton, Oregon. Mr. Reise was born on No- vember 3, 1923 in Orting, Washington, to parents, Otto Carl Reise Sr. and Flor- ence Reed of Ort- ing, Washington. After Pearl Har- bor, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a gunner-loader/ ship clerk on the USS Pennsylvania. Upon his return, he farmed daffo- Reise dils and tulips on the family farm in Puyallup Valley. In 1966, he married his wife of 52 years, settled in Hermiston, Oregon. Mr. Reise was very in- volved working as a farm equipment salesman for John Deere in Umatilla County. After his retirement he start- business, Pure-n-Soft Water, which he passed on to his son, Eric Reise. Page 5A He was a positive and inspiring man whose love of others he cared for. His sense of humor, faith and determination was worn with a giant grin and topped off with a laugh. He will be remembered with love and re- spect by many. He is survived by his wife, Shar- ron Reise; son, Eric Reise; daughter, Adriene Lorraine; stepsons, Brian and Casey Cunning- ham; stepdaughter, C. Nolan Quinn; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchil- dren. Otto was preceded in death by his parents, and a stepson, Kelly Paul Cunning- ham.
