Boardman police arrested a 25-year- old woman Thursday in the wake of a standoff with a man who barricaded himself in an apartment. Police Chief Rick Stokoe said Friday afternoon that Askins, Anthony Lawrence Felon with weapon Espino, Antonio Pete Assault, burglary, felon with weapon Ibarra, Juan Manuel Sexual abuse Ramirez for fourth-degree domestic violence and sec- ond-degree disorderly con- duct, both misdemeanors. CRIME ROUNDUP Drugs, alcohol no student’s slaying McMINNVILLE (AP) — Drug and alcohol tests on the body of the killer don’t shed any light on the deadly and unexplained stabbing of a year, authorities say. The results show that a tree farm worker never known to be violent was not drunk or high when he walked into a convenience store and stabbed Parker student he’d never met. Tae Bum Yoon, 24, of Bellevue, Washington, was arrested Wednesday at Portland’s Union Station. He pleaded not guilty to murder at a brief court appearance Friday before Multnomah County Judge John Wittmayer. Yoon remains behind bars, and his next court appearance is Jan. 20. Police have described Ashley Renee Benson, of Vancouver, Washington, as a declined to say whether that was related to her killing. On Friday, police and prosecutors were still mum about the circumstances of her death and what evidence leads them to think Yoon was involved. Stolen bike back after online video unremarkable. PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY •A man at 9:46 reported someone broke into a locked mailbox on Highway 207, Echo. •An older man at about 11 a.m. caused a disturbance at Pier 104, 104 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, regarding his Ger- man shepherd. An employee told him the county health de- partment will not allow animals in the store. The man refused to leave and became verbally ag- gressive. The employee called police to help settle the matter. •A Pendleton resident at 12:05 a.m. reported someone slashed the tires on the family car early in the morning on Southwest 28th Street and stole a backpack from the suspects. •An Athena resident at 4:11 p.m. reported he tried to sell furniture on the website Craig- slist.com, but the $1,200 check he received was fraudulent. He also said he still has the couch. •A caller at 4:35 p.m. reported Charter Communica- tions employees with Pendle- residence on West Highland Avenue, Hermiston, at about 2:45 p.m. and changed wires on poles. She said she refused to give them any information and thought they were suspicious. •An Irrigon resident at 5:26 p.m. reported a burglary and a missing pistol at her residence on Froberg Lane. •A Umatilla resident at 6:21 p.m. reported a male used a slingshot to shoot a rock through her window on Che- nowith Avenue. •An Irrigon woman at about 9 p.m. stabbed herself in the chest. A male called 9-1-1 and reported she was conscious and had pulled out the knife. The caller said he tried to put pressure on the wound but she took her to a local hospital. •An employee of the Short Stop Mini Mart and Deli, 2012 N.W. Carden Ave., Pendleton, served food to some homeless people. Then the homeless kept hanging around the parking lot, and an employee at 9:19 p.m. said the business was nearing closing time and asked police to have the crowd move along.
