FOR HOUSEWIVES j liuvilK; No housekeeper should hope to buy intelligently and e.'onom- ically by doing all of her mar- keting over the telephone; but it is true that the use of the telephone In buying does save time for the busy hoin-ekeeper. It is a big convenience in that it eliminates a trip to the store many times when the house- keeper could not go, and It may be efficiently done with a re- liable denier; ho we cannot say that the telephone should not be used. There are certain times when it should be, hut we can- not be successful buyers unless we frequently visit the market in person.
