NT. S.) Two names too many in the sealed Jury box of Liberty County, placed there by the Board of County Commis sioners, had the effect of Betting an in dictment in the case of S. I. Revell, former County Clerk, quashed, and the undoing of all work that the Grand Jury, which had been drawn from tho Box, had accomplished. Before this discovery was made several cases In civil actions had been disposed of. It is believed that all these will Buffer likewise and all court work be undone. The development came when at torneys for Revell presented a motion setting forth the plea that the jury commissioners had violated the law by placing more names in the box than allowed by law. It was asserted that the lnw stipulated that 250 names should be placed in the box and sealed, 'but on the names being counted it was r found that 252 had been placed there in. Judge Love ruled that the point "Wflir a (rood one and quashed the affi davits and Indictments against the clerk, who was accused of embezzling state funds. The Judge also ordered court to stnnd adjourned until a new venire could be summoned. WINNIPKO, Vim., Nov. 21. (I. N. R.) Swiss colonies are to be efctab lishfcd in Canada. Mountain-loving J folk of th" little republic are to be- i come prairie farmers. Tho first group, will arrive with the establishment ot ' n silk plant in Toronto by Swiss cap ital. This industry will spread to other points and srrve as a means of ready employment for li e immigrants most of whom will later take up farm-1 ing. ' i There has never been a tide of im-i migration from Switzerland to the American continent. Contentment was a predominating characieilRtie before the wave of po:-t-war unrest and depression. Now larp,e numbers of tho industrious folks arc turn'ng hopeful faces toward Canada. The in flux is expected to be la rue. Experience has shown that the Swiss are most desirable immigrants. Their natural industry makes them builders. Their quick adoption of western manners makes assimilation Of Canada's total population the Swiss comprise less than 10 per cent. Practically all are prosperous farmers. The forefathers of many were pio neers. The first Swiss settlers came over just a hundred years ago.
