Joseph Itayes. Clementine Molltor wan born in (he Grand Duchy of Luxemburg In the year 18 St. At the age of twelve yearn ahe waa brought by her parents to America where they established a home at Pendleton. Oregon. Hera she attended school and lived until May, 117 .when she came to Gillette and filed on a homestead near Rocky Ilutte, forty miles south of Gillette. Later she was employed as bookkeep er by the Glllctto Commercial Com pany and was nl.?o for a time chief celrk In the office ut Mr. Woods at the roundhouse. . In October, lit 1 , alio was married to T. Joseph Hayes and continued to live In Gillette until the time of her death. Bhe became a naturalised clt Isen of the United . States before her man-tago. Th death of Mrs. Hayes was both sad and noble In that she save her life as a result of bringing into the world a little child Among; her Immediate surviving relatives are her husband, T. Joseph Hayes; an Infant son, aged four days; two sisters, Mrs. Francos Codd, of Spokane. Wash., and Mrs. M. Iloden or Pendleton. Oregon, three brothers, Eugene and Leo Molltor of Pendleton, Oregon, and Adolph Moll tor of Walla Walla, Wash. Her niece. Miss Mamie Roden, was here at the time of her death. The mother of Mr. Hayes Mrs. Hayes of Denver, and his sister, MIhs Helen, came up from Denver to attend the funeral which was held on Wed nesday, July 14th, at ft. Matthew's church. Father Nicholson presiding over the ceremony. Father Nicholson was also present at the time of Mrs. Hayes' death. Burial was In Mount Ping ail Cemetery,. The ball pearers were John T. Ttyan. II. R. Ryan, John Daly, Jr., B. 8. Bullan, M. J. HanntMn and Mike Elmore. Friends of the family sent many beautiful flowers. Mrs. Hayes made many warm friends during- her residence In Gil lette friends who mourn her loss and who extend sympathy to the bereaved husband. She will beb greatly missed from our community.
