The estate of the late George W.
Mitchell was admitted to probate to
day. Nellie Kt. Dennis and Kdward
L Mitchell were appointed joint ad
ministrator W. Li. .Smock, James A.
King and Grady Herndon wore ap
pointed to appraise the estate.

The estate of the late Peter Do
Young, who was killed in an auto ac
cident recently in Illinois, was admit
ted to probate today. Mrs, Myrtle JJe
Young, the widow, was appointed ad
ministratrix. The deceased left an
estate estimated to be worth about
J7O00. J. N. Scott, J. XV. Maloney
and William Milne were appointed
appraisers.
Scott lifts Stiff Fine.
Hunter Scott, who was . arrested
rested recently at Pilot Hock with five
gallons of moonshine, was fined f goo
recently at Pilot Kock with five
months yesterday in the county court.
The jail sentence was suspended on
good behavior but Scott must pa.y the
fine. This is one of the stlffcst pen
alties yet Inflicted for violation of the
li'iuor laws in this county.

Thirteen foreigners are now on the
complete list 01 applicants for Hunt
citizenship panel's. They will be
heard at the Hopiemher term of circuit
court, September 14. The final day
for filing was today, as names must
be posted AO days before the hearing.

Philip WoiHkets, an Idaho iTtdiaja,
was fined $10 in the Justice court to
day on a charge of driving an auto
with an improper license.- The car he
owns has borne a paper tag- on which
was printed an Idaho dealer's license
number- Inquiry the secretary of
state at Boise revealed that that the
cur bearing this license had never
made application for a permanent
license and the owner was arrested
by Traffic Officer Ivydity following re
ceipt of the information.

The sheriff of San Jose county,
California, will shortly send a deputy
