Schleg-el, a very pretty wedding . was solemnized when Mary Darling, became the bride of Mahlon Bruce Otlbart. The home was beautifully decorated with ferns, Oregon grape. , and other foliage from the coast. The ' bridal party stood beneath a canopy ! of rhododendrons, with a bank of myrtle boughs for back ground. The ; ceremony was performed by Rev. The bride received her education in the Spokane and Portland high schools and Cheney Normal school, and has a host of friends In those places. The groom is a graduate of the Ore Ron Agriculture college. After n short honeymoon to the Wlllamniette valey, the couple will re turn to their country home near here. Mrs. Patrick Cassidy was called to Idaho, last week, by the serious illness of her mother. Miss Klla Mae Harmon, county demonstrator was in Pilot Rock, Tues day to assist the ladies in making dress forms. They met at the home of Mrs. c. t't. Rracher.. William Haker. who resides about five miles south of Pilot Rock was in town Monday. O. G. Rracher and daughter Miss Vida left for Portland Sunday where Mr, Rracher will attend the Hardware Mens" Convention and will also visit friends nnd relatives. Miss Rracher has gone to study nursing at St. Vin cents hospital. Miss Rracher was a graduate of the Pilot Rock high school in the spring of 1 H 1 !. Miss Opal Partridge of Pendleton spent the week end at the home of Mr and Mrs. Ernest Hutchinson. Fred Moes of Helix and L. O. Scharpf of Pendleton spent Sunday hero. Howard J.
