Tolinan, who has bee a as sistant cashier of the Inland Empire Hank since its establishment here, will leave tonight for Seattle where he will rejoin the Fnion National Hank. He resigned recently in order that Mrs. Tolinan might return to the Pu gct Sound country for her health. He Is succeeded by It. M. Mavberrv. for merly of the American National Hank staff. Tomatoes Hero Soon. One thousand cases of tomatoes, or jdered by the army store to supply Pendleton trade, will be distributed from the car when it arrives In i'en dleton. The tomatoes are expected here hy Saturday. It is probable that the carload will be the last of the gov ernment supplies to be sold in this city, say those in charge. The store in the Critinan building on Webb street has closed. I'endleton Pioneer Elected. Frank D. Cinrrett, formerly of this jolty and one of the old pioneers of this place, has been elected a director, of the Fidelity National Bank of Spo i kane. Mr. Oarrett, who is remem bered by Lot Llvermore, one of the city's pioneers, came to Pendleton in 1879. Iater he moved tp Sprague.
