Many of these homes cost in "five figures" and they arc valuable improvements to the city The building record, established regardless of present high costs, bears good evidence of the city's growth along lines that are sane and permanent. A home town is always a reliable town. The record for 1919 should be equalled if not surpassed in 191'U. All local houses are occupied and new houses are in eager dci-aMl. A home in Pendleton is a good investment because the city has a solid backing and is growing. Costs are high, it is true, but they will remain high for a long time, if reduction de'pends, as many believe, on currency deflation.
