wiH carry Oregon almost to the
v limit of the bonded indebted-
jness allowed for road purposes
ithe necessity of voting the
i bonds on March 4 becomes ap-
'parent.' In common sense Uma
tilla county has no other course
save to vote for the road bonds.
There is every reason to be
lieve our county bond issue
will carry. There is no organ
ized opposition and no grounds
for opposition. However there
will be many negative votes
cast and there is a chance for
defeat of the measure if a light
vote is had. Those who oppose
are auite likely to be at the
polls to register their objec
tions. If a sufficiently large
percentage of those favoring
the county bonds fail to vote
the bond issue will meet defeat.
Get out the vote.

The Right Laxative
For The Little Ones
The natural condition of a child is to be
happy and carefree. When the fSz mopes
and is Indifferent to school and study, or the
boy is sullen and refuses to go out and play,
the child needs a laxative to empty the bowels
and stir up the liver.
But something should be given that will
produce the result in as simple end nat
ural a way as possible. Harsh cathartics
and physics are neither necessary nor de-.
girable. .
" Many mothers have found that the com
bination of simple laxative herbs with pepsin
sold by druggists under the name of Dr.
Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin produces a free move
ment of the bowels without griping. Avery
little is required, and it is pleasant to take.
A few hpurs after its use the child will be ita
happy self again.
It is an excellent remedy for the mother
herself, and for the other members of the
family, in obetlnato or occasional consti-j ( ( ;')
nation, for the relief of headaches, as an aid
in colds and fevers minos akin eruptionaand
