Now this front isn't the wor.t ' frunt we ever tackled but was the i hardest in the way of clinging to a' hard tank which the 2nd division took j and took like a man. We kept the Germans from going to Paris. Thisi sergeant also states he was eleven day without any sleep at the front ; w,hich I mentioned above. We didn't; hardly aleep for twenty days. All wej did was doze off and that wan enough. ! The division which I was in won great! praise and also the regiments of this division but I'll say and tell the same ! thing to anybody, we weren't any bet ! ter than any other regiments of the A. C- K. We all did our bit and when la man can say his regiment" Is the best, well, he has the pep. but I j wouldn't say so. I would go an j p!ace with my regiment or the regl iment I am in. for they sure are fight ing nven. not because they are Ma rines In our division is the ninth and twenty-third doughboys and fifty and sixth Marines and them good old doughboys sure did fight. Now then we finally were relieved from Chateau Thiery and made a j trip to SoisHons which was a very !m ; portant drive at that time. We drove two days and it was nearly as bud as. i Chateau Thierry, but we shot ahead ! and kept going and was released In j two days to real up for a biff drive on t j another front.
