Mrs. Charles Schati and children arrived home recently after having spent two weeks In Portland Ivan Blake, who Is working fot Mr. Simpson, was In town Sunday. Mr- and Mrs. J. W. Spencer and daughter. Miss Beulah Spencer, will start next Monday for Denver, Colo.. in hopes of improving Mr. fcpencer s health. Mrs. Claud Wallan of A da in a, was in Pendleton Monday. Mrs. John Giess spent Tuesday in Pendleton. Garth Stoll was In town this week. Farmers In this vicinity are very busy with, their hay harvest. The crops are good this year but not so good as last year. Lack of rain along with other weather conditions account for the condition of the hay. Otis Lieuailen and Ralph Wallan have purchased new machines for harvesting. Mr. and Mrs- J. T. Lieuailen -and family of Walla Walla have purchas ed their old home In Adams. They expect to move back soon.' Adams people are glad to have them with them again. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Edwards, who owned the Lieuailen home, have moved to Pendleton - Lenard Lavadour came do-nn from the mountains this week. A, E. Ore-, surprised his many friends In Echo yesterday when he arrived here from a short visit In Virginia, by being accompanied home by a bride. Mr, and Mrs. Pearson are visiting a few davit with an aunt. Mr M. E. Pearson,, of this place. They will make their home on Butler crees near Lena.
