Kenworthy was found "not guilty" of perjury by the superi or court Jury which returned a verdict after 24 hours' deliber ation. Kenworthy was charged with having made false statements at the damage suit he won against Frank Richmond and Elizabeth Garrett. An affidavit which he signed afterwards said the case was a "frame-up" and that he gave false testimony. Kenworthy Insisted that this was done to clear his wife and that he had little knowledge of what It contained.
