Tonight again the introductory reels of the "Perils of Pauline." Thlsj subject starts off with a snap and vim and forms strong hypothesis for sub sequent sequels. ' The "Antique Engagement Ring" is as strong a, Vitagraph two-reel sub ject as we have ever seen. Edison's "The Coward and the Man'' is one real classic drama. Mr. Trev Sharp, Violilnlst, gave his first concert last night. This is to be a regular feature of the Alta theatre all summer. LA GRANDE MOTORCYCLIST IS KILLED WHILE RIDING Pastime, TueMlay-Wednesday. "Ashes of Hope," a two-reel num ber with excellent photography. Kuth Stonehouse' plays the part of a fam ous dancer, who is compromised by an attorney, played by E. H. Calvert Francis X. Bushman plays the hero, her theatrical manager. The produc tion is quite elaborate and closes with a trial scene. The plot is convincing. The lovers are united after many trials and tribulations. "Mother of Seven," an exceptionally good com edy drama, replete with human in terest and interspersed with laugh which are wholesome and legitimate Here's a film story that may be dis cussed at the dinner table and wil? provide enjoyment to those who have seen it for weeks afterwards. ,.
