Kvery bout was fast and classy, and much appreciated by a large crowd. Huelut and I'lnkham at the bantam weight fought for blood but the Seat tle boy was a shade the weaker, which however, did not become apparent un til the fourth round. Both of Malone's fights showed a cool, scientific boxer and a real fighter. He received very few blows oecause he Is a master at defense and O'Neill is a promising young fighter and gave Malune the harder battle of the two, although Gleason fought gamely and took lots of punishment with good grace. In the latter fight, ooth boys had been slowed up some what by their previous fight. Maloney had little trouble In dis posing of Holdler Bonnie of Vancou ver, winning In the second round when his superiority had been made completely obvious. The bout of all, however, which was most enjoyed was that of Olea- son of Seattle and Meagher of Van couver, Wash. The latter Is a deaf mute who has received his education at the Washington State school for the deaf and who is now breaking Into the newspaper game. Handicap ped by his lack of hearing he haa learned most of his boxing by experi ence, but he made up in gumeness what he lacked in skill and after be ing put groggy In the first, caused Oleason no small worry In the later rounds. While the decision was ac cepted without a word of protest, Meagher was evidently a popular fa vorite and the crowd hated to see him lose."
