There was a cloning advance of 1-2 7-80 a bush el In the wheat market Wednesday following an opening l-8c lower for July and unchanged for the Septem ber and December options. Broomhall's foreign crop require ment estimate caused heavy short covering in deferred options, forcing the market sharply higher after the early period of dullness. Spring droughts in the west have made forage scarce In certain sections and the summer may prove serious fof the grazing industry. As a means of relief unused grazing areas on some of the national forests have been put up at the disposal of stockmen living at a distance, in cases where it will pay them to ship stock In by railroad for a summer grazing season. The district forester at Missoula. Montana, has Issued a prospectus out lining the grazing possibilities on the forests under his Jurisdiction. Ac cording to this statement there are unused areas in the national forests of northern Idaho and western Mon tana which are capable of supporting a large number of sheep. The forage as a rule consists mainly of weeds and browse Water is abundant. These ranges are more or less In accessible and are available only for the summer grazing season, which ex tends from June or July to October and November. There are no winter grazing areas nearby and the char acted of the land do-s not permit of raising feed in quantities sufficient to keep cattle through the winter.
