The quickest, bet nd safest way to cure catarrh or a toll in the head Is by using a remedy that will "touch the spot" and do its work quickly without leaving; any bad effects. Ely's Cream Halm cleanses, heals and strengthens the inflamed mem branes, takes away that stuffed up feeling and dull pain in the head, re lieves the throat orenesa and stops the nasty discharge which is the cause of the disgusting hawking, spitting, blowing of the nose, and foul breath. Hay fever victims who are made mis erable by fits of sneezing, coughing and wheezing get instant and perma. nene relief by the use of this simple remedy. Don't suffer another minute. Ely's ream Halm will reliieve you im mediately, and a 50 cent bottle will more than likely work a complete cure. All druggists sell it. and naturally will be carfully handled. After New Year's daily delivery of fggs to city residents from the country will be the rule, rather than the exception. A Des Moines man had an attack of muscular rheumatism in his shoul der. A friend advised him to go to Hot Springs. That meant an expense of J 150.00 or more. He sought for a quicker and cheaper way to cure it and found ft in Chamberlain's Lin iment. Three days after the first application of this liniment he was well. For sale by all dealers. EGGS BY PARCELS POST. Demonstrating ths possibilities of the parcel post, a car ton of eggs, shipped by mail from Oklahoma City, a distance of 1,500 miles, was received nTilnlmt.,1 v.v Postmaster General Hitchcock. Ship-1 ments of eggs by mail are prohibited until the parcel post becomes oper-' ative The postal authorities were pleased with the successful experi ment. The eggs, wrapped in cotton and pa ler, and placed one in each or the di vision found in the ordinary egg car. ton, were merely marked "merchan dise" and received the usual treat ment accorded ordinary mail matter. Eggs, however, according to the rules promulgated for the conduct of the new service, must be marked "eggs," TESTING PHILADELPHIA EGGS. Pennsylvania Food Bureau IKter niinlnjr Their Standard. Philadelphia. The Housekeepers' league, which began the sale of "se lected" storage eggs at 24 cents a dozen a few days ago in order to break the high price of the product, reported that sales at all the egg sta tions continued brisk. The busiest station was the plaza at City Hall, where thousands of dozens were sold. It was learned that the state dairy and food bureau is closely watching the big sale. A special agent of the bureau has made numerous pur chases of the 24-cent eggs, and they are being examined by a chemist to determine whether they are as good as represented. LIFE SENTENCE FOR YOUTHFUL GUX TOTERS Chicago. The new law fixing the penalty for robbery with deadly weapons was invoked here when two young highwaymen were sentenced to life terms by Judge Burke in the criminal court. Joseph Williams and George Kebler, confessed bandits, are just 21 years old and Judge Burke commented on this In imposing sen tence. "It is a sad thing," he said, "but society must be protected. Here we have two able-bodied young men who have cast aside every prospect In life but justice can only say that the se verity of the punishment Is fitted to the crime."
