Horses Mysteriously Disappear. The disappearance of several hors es from the city recently is becoming one of the mysteries which bid fair to remain unsolved. Six weeks ago, the horse owned by L. O. Frazler dlsap peared from Round-up Park and neither hide nor hair of it has been seen or heard of since. For the occasion the theatre was filled with the friends and rel atives of the pupils and the academy and the program was well received. Miss Emily Clopton, daughter of a wealthy and prominent St. Louis family, who entered a con vent ten months ago with the inten tion of devoting her life to religion, was married at her home to Lieut. Elkln L. Franklin, Thirteenth Calal ry, U. S. A., Btatloned at Fort Riley, Kan. Bishop Scannel of Omaha, per formed the ceremony. Lieut. Franklin embraced Catholic ism at the request of his bride. Miss Clopton, however, is the only Catholic In her family. Her mother died when s'he was quite young and she was placed in the Sacred Heart Convent in St. Louis. After she left there she took little interest In social at falrs and last July startled her fam ily with the announcement that she had decided to become a nun. She selected a convent at Rochester, N Y., in which to enter the sisterhood Last November she made a trip to Leavenworth, Kan., and there met Lieut.
