This is a good one and funny, too. "That Chicken Dinner." Lubln. A comedy with a clean-cut story of the trials befalling two tramps. Manager Matlock has-, made ar rangements to present the original Stetson production of "Cncle Tom's Cabin" at the Oregon theater on May 14. The wonderful popularity of Har riet Beecher Stowe'e masterpiece all over the United States for the past forty years has led to its production bv a'.l kinds of managers with all kinds of actors, good, bad and lndlf ferent. There Is magic In the name of I'nclo Tom and its capacity to draw the public to see It Is phenomenal. This, as pretty much all theatergoers are aware, has been fully taken ad vantage of by a horde of Irresponsible! and a production by them, at once "Wild and Wooly" has been too often the result. When produced with a proper dramatic cast, coupled with proper scenic and mechanical equip ment, no such story of American life, prior to the great crisis in our nation al affair, has ever been penned. For twenty years, the Stetson production has been the leading one, steadily advancing each season with the won derful pride of progress. UNENTERED UMATILLA LANDS ARE LISTED Washington, D. C. May 13 The secretary of the interior has issued the following public notice in connection with the Umatilla project, Oregon: in nursuance of the provisions of the reclamation act of June 17, 1902 (32 Stat., 388), notice is hereby gtv en as follows: 1. The following public land farm units remain unentered in the third unit of the Umatilla project, Oregon viz: T. & X., R. 28 E. Section 26. W 1-2 SE 1-4 XW 1-4, Farm unit , "E." E 1-2 SE 1-4 XW 1-4, Farm unit "F." W 1-2 XW 1-4 SW 1-4, Farm Unit "D." 1 2. The said lands shall hereafter be subject to entry under the provi Fiona of the reclamation act without initial payment of the amount here tofore required at the time of entry of other public land farm units In the third unit of said TTojeot, but the charges, time and manner of pay ment shall be the same as required for lands in private ownership In the said . third unit as set forth In the public notice of March 2, 1912, except as otherwise provided herein. 3. All entries hereafter made for any of the lands described whether for lands not heretofore entered or for lands covered by prior entries which have been canceled by relin quishment or otherwise, shall be ac companied by appliautlons for water rights in due form and by all charges for building, operation and mainten ance which have heretofore become due and remain unpaid, or which were paid and were not duly assign ed in writing.
