The Kamlah Progress of Kamlah.
Idaho, gives the following Interesting
article relative to the project of Install
ing a 20-mlle flume along the Lolo
creek.
"Information reached Kamlah this
week that surveyors are now engag

for the mammoth flume up Lolo
creek for a distance of 20 miles. This
project has been worked upon for
nearly a year and it is reported that
the financial end has been arranged
for. It will require a large amount of
money to carry the project through
and when it Is once started will be of
untold benefit to Kamlah and the
ridges on the east side ofthe river.
While the timber products of a coun
try can be taken down a flume noth
ing can be taken up It so anything go
ing In must be takVn from the nearest
railway station and Kamlah Is the
nearest one and has the only feasible
routes to all points on the upper Lolo (

people. This matter will be thorough

Paving Plant at Wallace.
Wallace Press: Plans In connection
with the proposed purchase by the
city of a paving plant of Its own, and
paving the whole city, were discussed
last night at the city council meeting.
While the opinion of all was not given
on the matter, several declared them

purchasing a plant all the streets could
be paved for what It would cost to

Its own paving plant which can be se
